Precautions for Air Cooled Condenser Working

Based on the background information of relevant condenser operating procedures, the following key points should be emphasized when air cooled condenser working:

1. Pre-operation Preparation:

Confirm that there are no obstructions within 1 meter of the equipment to ensure smooth ventilation and avoid a decrease in heat dissipation efficiency of more than 30%.

Inspect the fan blades for cracks, ensure the motor insulation resistance is ≥100MΩ, and adjust the guide vanes to 15% opening to prevent surge before startup.

Confirm that the medium, temperature, and pressure inside the pipes fully meet the design conditions; overpressure and overtemperature operation are strictly prohibited.

2. Daily Operation Management:

When operating, turn on the fan first, then introduce the medium into the tube bundle; when stopping operation, first disconnect the medium input, then turn off the fan.

Control the fan operating current to not exceed 105% of the rated value, and the bearing temperature to not exceed 80℃. Record pressure and temperature parameters regularly.

Keep the heat dissipation fins clean, and clean surface dust monthly to prevent oil and debris from affecting heat transfer efficiency.

3. Special Operating Conditions:

During winter operation, the louvers can be appropriately closed or partially closed. Prioritize starting the frequency-controlled fan to avoid prolonged high-speed operation of a single fan.

For easily condensable media, introduce the media into the pipes first, then start the fan to prevent freezing and blockage.

When starting under negative pressure conditions, first activate the vacuum pump to achieve the specified vacuum level, then start the fan to introduce the media.

4. Shutdown and Maintenance:

For non-emergency shutdowns, disconnect the load first, keep the cooling system running for 10 minutes to allow sufficient cooling, then turn off the main power.

After long-term shutdown, promptly close the louvers, purge and drain condensate with low-pressure steam, and in low-temperature environments, drain any remaining water to prevent freezing and cracking of the pipe bundles.

Add lithium-based lubricating oil to the fan every 3 months, and conduct a comprehensive inspection of component tightness and radial clearance between the fan casing and impeller annually.
