air cooler system
An air cooler system is a key device that uses air as a cooling medium to cool hot fluids (gas or liquid). The following is a detailed introduction to its system composition and working principle:
1. System Composition
The air cooler system mainly consists of tube bundles, tube boxes, fans, louvers, and a frame.
Tube Bundle: The core component of the air cooler, composed of finned tubes, a tube box, and a frame, used for heat exchange. Finned tubes increase the heat exchange efficiency by increasing the contact area with the air.
Fan: Provides forced airflow, divided into blower type and exhaust type. Blower type fans are located below the tube bundle, blowing air upwards; exhaust type fans are located above the tube bundle, drawing air upwards.
Louvres: Used to control the airflow direction, reduce eddy current losses, and prevent hot air backflow.
Frame: The steel structure supporting the tube bundle, fan, louvers, and their accessories, ensuring stable operation of the equipment.
2. Working Principle
The air cooler system achieves cooling by removing heat from the hot fluid through heat exchange between the air and the hot fluid. The hot fluid flows inside the tubes, while air sweeps horizontally across the outside of the tube bundle, exchanging heat through the tube walls. A fan forces the airflow, enhancing the convective heat transfer effect.
