Precautions for Using Outdoor Ice Machines

Outdoor ice machines are portable ice-making devices designed for non-indoor scenarios such as camping, street vending, and vehicle use. Outdoor environments are more complex than indoor environments, so the following key precautions should be taken when using an outdoor ice machine:

1. Placement Requirements: Place the device on a flat, solid surface. Erect a sunshade to avoid direct sunlight, keep it away from heat sources, and maintain an ambient temperature below 35℃. Leave at least 30cm of clearance for ventilation on the back and sides of the device, and at least 60cm of space on top. Protect the device from rain and dust, and avoid direct exposure to the elements.

2. Electrical Safety Regulations: A dedicated power line must be used, equipped with a fuse and a residual current device (RCD). Ensure reliable grounding. If using a generator/portable power supply, a voltage regulator must be installed to prevent voltage fluctuations from damaging the compressor. Ensure proper insulation of the power cord to prevent electric shock risks from damp outdoor environments.

3. Daily Operation Points: Use water that meets national drinking water standards. Install a water filter to prevent impurities from clogging the pipes. Avoid frequent opening of the cabinet door during ice making. After moving the device, allow it to stand for at least 2 hours to allow the refrigerant to return to its normal position before turning it on.

4. Key Points for Regular Maintenance: Clean the inlet valve filter and condenser surface every 2 months. Wipe the inside and outside of the equipment with a neutral detergent. Do not directly rinse the machine body with a water hose. If the machine is to be shut down for more than 48 hours, the remaining water in the water tank must be drained. If the machine is not used for a long time, the water in the tank must be dried and the machine should be stored in a dry and ventilated place.
