1. Advantages:

No cooling water required: Suitable for water-scarce or water-difficult areas, such as drought-stricken areas and mobile refrigeration units.

Easy installation: Eliminates the need for a cooling water supply system, reducing initial investment and operating costs. For example, air-cooled box-type chillers only require water pipes and power connections.

Simple maintenance: Air has low pollution and corrosiveness to equipment, making descaling easy and eliminating scale problems.

Compact structure: The finned design results in a small size and light weight, suitable for space-constrained locations.

2. Disadvantages:

Limited condensing capacity: Air has poor thermal conductivity and low specific heat capacity, resulting in limited condensing capacity, making it difficult to apply to large-scale refrigeration systems.

Highly affected by the environment: Air temperature fluctuations directly affect the condensing temperature; temperature differences between winter and summer can lead to decreased refrigeration efficiency. For example, condensing temperatures can reach 40-50℃ in summer, requiring an increase in compressor capacity (approximately 15%) to maintain cooling output.

Noise issues: Fan operation may generate noise, which needs to be mitigated by using a low-speed, large-blade axial fan or soundproofing design.
