2. Water Quality Management:

Water Standards: The water used by the ice maker must meet national drinking water standards. It is recommended to install a water filter to remove impurities and prevent clogging of water pipes, contamination of the water tank and ice molds, and impact on ice-making performance.

Regularly clean the water inlet valve: Every two months, unscrew the water inlet hose and clean the water inlet valve filter to prevent sand and impurities in the water from clogging the inlet, which can reduce water flow or prevent ice making.

3. Daily cleaning and maintenance:

External cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the ice maker with a clean, soft cloth weekly to keep the machine clean.

Refrigerator cleaning: Open the ice removal door at least once a week, remove all ice, clean the interior walls of the refrigerator with a neutral detergent, then rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry.

Condenser cleaning: Every three months, use a vacuum cleaner or small brush to clean the condenser surface to ensure good heat dissipation. Avoid using sharp metal tools during cleaning to prevent damage to the condenser.

Water pipe and sink cleaning: Clean the water pipes, sink, and refrigerator every two months to prevent scale and impurities from building up.

4. Long-term inactivity maintenance:

Thorough cleaning and drying: If the ice maker will not be used for an extended period, thoroughly clean the interior and use a hairdryer to dry the ice molds and interior to prevent mold growth.

Storage Environment: Place the ice maker in a well-ventilated and dry place free from corrosive gases. Avoid outdoor storage.

5. Regular Inspection and Maintenance:

Circuit Inspection: Regularly check for loose wiring. Tighten or plug in connections to ensure electrical safety.

Professional Maintenance: Ice maker maintenance should be performed by qualified professionals to avoid damaging the machine.

6. Troubleshooting and Handling:

Compressor works but does not make ice: This may be due to refrigerant leakage or a damaged solenoid valve. Leak detection and repair are necessary, followed by adding refrigerant or replacing the solenoid valve.

Slow ice making or no ice formation: Check for sufficient refrigerant, clogged filters, dirty condenser, or poor ventilation. Clean or replace parts as needed.

No automatic defrosting: This may be due to a faulty water temperature probe or a damaged solenoid valve. Measure the probe resistance or replace the solenoid valve.

Low water light is on but no automatic water replenishment: Check for clear water flow and a faulty inlet solenoid valve. Clear water flow or replace the solenoid valve as needed.
