Industrial condensing chillers can be categorized into two core types based on condensation method and compressor type. Different types have significantly different applicable scenarios and performance characteristics:

1. By Condensation Method:

Water-Cooled Condensing Chillers

Core Features: Uses water as the cooling medium, resulting in high heat dissipation efficiency, strong operational stability, and minimal impact from ambient temperature fluctuations.

Sub-types: Includes horizontal shell-and-tube, vertical shell-and-tube, co-tube, and spiral plate structures, suitable for refrigeration systems of varying sizes.

Air-Cooled Condensing Chillers

Core Features: Uses air as the cooling medium, requiring no water source, offering convenient installation and maintenance, and suitable for water-scarce areas.

Structural Composition: Typically consists of a semi-hermetic compressor, air-cooled condenser, and other components directly assembled into one unit.

Evaporative Condensing Chillers

Core Features: Integrates the condenser and cooling tower, utilizing the latent heat of vaporization of water to dissipate heat. The cooling water volume is only 1/25 to 1/50 of that of water-cooled chillers, resulting in energy savings of approximately 30%. Performance Advantages: For cooling capacity ≤ 528kW, heat exchange efficiency is superior to conventional water-cooled units.

2. Classification by Compressor Type

Reciprocating Condensing Units

Core Features: Compact structure, easy maintenance, and high operational reliability.

Applicable Scenarios: Widely used in air conditioning systems, small and medium-sized cold storage facilities, and other conventional refrigeration scenarios.

Screw Condensing Units

Core Features: Small size, large cooling capacity, and capable of long-term continuous and stable operation.

Applicable Scenarios: Suitable for medium and large-scale industrial low-temperature processing, large-scale cold chain storage, and other scenarios requiring high cooling capacity.

Scroll Condensing Units

Core Features: Compact structure, low operating noise, and excellent energy efficiency.

Applicable Scenarios: Primarily used in small and medium-sized industrial cooling and commercial refrigeration equipment.
