How to Use an Electric Ice Machine Correctly

The key to correctly using an electric ice machine is ensuring water and electricity are connected, and starting with a single button, automatically completing the ice-making and ice-removing cycle. Modern electric ice machines are easy to operate, requiring only simple settings to achieve continuous ice production.

1. Pre-start Preparation:

Place the ice maker on a well-ventilated, dry, flat surface away from heat sources, ensuring at least 10 cm of space behind it for heat dissipation.

Connect purified or direct drinking water that meets drinking water standards, maintaining a water pressure between 0.1–0.4 MPa; use a dedicated grounded socket with stable voltage.

Before first use, it is recommended to clean the water tank and ice tray with a neutral detergent and fill with clean water to the MAX line.

2. Start-up and Ice Making:

Open the water supply valve, connect the power supply, and press the [Power] button to start the device.

The machine will enter a 3-minute self-test delay, with the compressor and water pump on standby, and the condenser fan pre-cooling; after the indicator light stays on, the first round of ice making will automatically begin.

Approximately 6–15 minutes later, the first batch of ice cubes will fall into the ice storage basket, allowing for continuous ice making.

3. Mode and Parameter Adjustment:

Most models support switching between "large ice" and "small ice" modes, which can be adjusted using buttons.

Some high-end models support adjustable ice thickness levels. In summer, it is recommended to adjust to level [0~3], and in winter to level [-3~0] to prevent ice from not discharging.

4. Ice Removal and Maintenance:

When the ice storage is full, the machine will automatically stop making ice and emit a beeping sound. Removing some ice cubes will resume operation.

After use, promptly empty any remaining water. Perform a deep cleaning weekly and use citric acid to remove limescale quarterly, especially important in areas with hard water.

When not in use for extended periods, thoroughly dry the interior and cover with a dust cover.
